Listening to the sounds of early night, as light and the din of the workday ebb away is, for me, a special way to reclaim calm and reorient to the natural world. It is a great joy to hear the birds as light is dimming, whether they’re rustling in massive groups in the trees or calling to each other in pairs from across the park.
